Mii tries out the Wii
Yesterday I was finally able to play this bad boy.... and it seems I wasn't the only one....
Never thought you'd see a granny playing video games now did you?
Anyways my verdict??? Yea its good! Not as great asI thought it'd be but still enjoyable. It's only at the beginning of its journey and hopefully by next year there will be a better selection of games. I was able to get my hands on Wii Sports, a game included with the Wii itself and serves as a way to introduce players to the Wii. Any good??? Well yes and no. The game includes baseball, bowling, boxing, golf and tennis.
Baseball is pretty simple, swing the remote like the bat and then on the other side re-enact the pitching motion to throw the ball. Simple but not that fun.
Bowling is quite good, just follow the motions as if you're actually bowling and include any curl you might want in your throw.
Boxing is good if you have the nunchuck attached and playing against someone else who has the remote and the nunchuck. So you have the nunchuck in one hand and the remote in the other...start slugging but also remember to block as well.
Golf was quite annoying actually. I'd do the motions but sometimes it just wouldn't pick up but you could see the potential if they get this right next time.
Fianlly tennis. Prolly the most fun out of the 5 games. Don't really have to say how to play this do i?
I also got my hands on this. Red Steel. A first person shooter which looks fun but wasn't as intuitive as I first imagined. You use the nunchuck to move your character and the remote as your gun. Turn the remote sideways like a gangsta and what happens? That's right the gun turns sideways which is quite cool. So basically move with the nunchuck, point and shoot with the remote. I played this for about 30 mins and it was pretty hard to get used to but once I did, I had a blast.
